Meekness – Psalm 37:7-11

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!

Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.

For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;
though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.

But the meek shall inherit the land
    and delight themselves in abundant peace.

Meek – Gk: pra-us – the pra-us are unimportant and vulnerable.

Inheriting the land – Genesis 15:7

And he said to him, “I am the Lord who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”

No Jubilee – Leviticus 25:10-13, 23

And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of itself nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat the produce of the field.

“In this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his property… “The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you are strangers and sojourners with me.

God, in affect, is saying to the people of God: “this land will be yours again”
