It’s that time again where, as a church, we give above and beyond our usual tithes and offerings to see Every Heart Found In Jesus Story, From Here, to Everywhere.
Throughout the month of June, every family will have the opportunity to support the vision and mission of Discovery Church by contributing financially to our Vision Offering partners.

From Here To Everywhere

We believe that it is only through God’s grace that the vision and mission of Discovery Church will be fulfilled. And yet, in his goodness, God invites us to work together with Him to realise it.

For nearly 2,000 years, the Church has carried one message. The message of Jesus.
And that message has always moved through ordinary people willing to pray, willing to go, willing to give, and willing to be sent.

This year, our Vision Offering theme is From Here to Everywhere.

Inspired by Acts 13 and the church in Antioch, we are reminded that the Gospel was never meant to stay in one place. The early Church was not simply focused on gathering people, but on sending people, leaders, resources, and the hope of Jesus into the world. We believe that same calling is on us today.

As Discovery Church, we are not here simply to accumulate people, build bigger rooms, or create comfortable Christianity. We are here to see every heart found in Jesus’ story.

From our neighbours. To our city. To the nations of the world.

This Vision Offering is an opportunity for every person who calls Discovery Church home to participate in that mission. Together, we are believing to raise $300,000 by June 30.

Not for our name. Not for our comfort. But so that more people might encounter the hope of Jesus.

From here to everywhere.

Our Vision Offering Partners

Our Vision Offering supports partners and projects that help us send, seek, seed, share and serve, from here to everywhere.

Discovery Church Locations

Making room for people to encounter Jesus at current and future locations

God is expanding our capacity, not just so we can hold more people, but so we can send more people.

This year’s Vision Offering theme is From Here to Everywhere, a reminder that the Gospel has always moved through ordinary people and faithful places. From homes to cities, from local churches to the nations of the world, God uses His people to carry the hope of Jesus beyond themselves.

At Discovery Church, we believe the Church is not a building. It is people.

People who gather to worship. People who serve with open hands and hearts. People who pray, grow, and find belonging in community. People who are formed in the way of Jesus, and then sent into their homes, workplaces, schools, neighbourhoods, and communities.

And while the Church is people, we also know that places matter.

Spaces shape what is possible. They create room for worship, hospitality, formation, ministry, and mission. They are where children hear the name of Jesus, where teenagers discover identity and purpose, where families find belonging, where broken stories are met with grace, and where people are equipped to carry the Gospel from here to everywhere.

At our Mount Evelyn location, we are experiencing incredible growth, and with it, some real challenges. Our rooms are full. Hospitality spaces are stretched. Kids and Youth ministries are growing. The life is vibrant, but the space is tight.

In Frankston, God is continuing to stir something new. A fresh, faith-filled community is forming, with people hungry for connection, belonging, and the hope of Jesus. As that community grows, we want to create spaces that are welcoming, functional, and ready for the future.

Our Capital Works and Location Expansion plans are not simply about improving facilities. They are about making room for the mission.

Room for children. Room for youth. Room for hospitality. Room for new people to belong. Room for people to be formed. Room for the Gospel to move.

As Isaiah 54 reminds us:

“Enlarge the place of your tent… stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back.”

We believe God is calling us to make room, not just for who is already here, but for those who are yet to come.

Let’s build together, not just for today, but for tomorrow.

From here to everywhere.

Discovery Community Care

Building a stronger community, together.

Discovery Community Care through its ministry outreach supports 130 families each week, helping over 500 individuals break free from food insecurity and isolation. In collaboration with Discovery Church, local schools, and food relief initiatives, we’re creating a healthier, more connected community together.

Discovery Community Care creates space for gathering and sharing around the table. Through weekly community meals, we’ve seen lives uplifted, skills developed, and connections strengthened as people cook, serve, and share. Individuals are welcomed to share their unique gifts, whether through preparing a meal, expressions of art, gardening, or simply supporting one another. These creative expressions fuel the heartbeat of our community.

Our Vision for the Future: We aspire to see a community where everyone sees a hopeful future, where isolation is replaced by connection, and where resources like food, counselling and healthcare are accessible to all.

Help us make a difference together!

As part of Vision Offering Month, we invite you to partner with us in sustaining and expanding the impact of Discovery Community Care. Together, we carry the responsibility of providing vital support, services, and hope to those in need within our community.

Would you prayerfully consider how you might partner with us this month as we continue building a place where people can encounter hope, be empowered to thrive and experience a brighter tomorrow.

Southern Cross Kids’ Camps

Giving children from hard places hope for tomorrow.

Southern Cross Kids’ Camps run camps across Australia for primary-aged and now secondary-aged children from really hard places.

SCKC gives children who have experienced abuse and neglect the best week of their year. Children on these camps experience a week filled with fun and laughter and get to leave camp with a fresh perspective, new life skills and hope for the future. The camps set children up for success, both on camp and into the future and help them make memories that shape their lives, all made possible by a team of amazing volunteers who demonstrate God’s unconditional love.

Every child has the undivided attention of their own caring, adult buddy to help them have a successful and supported week. Once children are invited to our camps, they have a standing invitation to return each year, building on the trust and relationships and giving them the hope of something to look forward to.

Why Give?

From right here in the local community of Mount Evelyn to all the way across 5 States and 2 Territories of Australia, Southern Cross Kids’ Camps impact the lives of hundreds of children each year. We want to support the ongoing growth and expansion of Southern Cross Kids’ Camps by contributing through this year’s Vision Offering.

Would you join us in supporting kids who are doing it tough around our nation?

Glen & Jayne’s Ministry

Supporting faithful mission through sustainable marketplace relationships.

Kindly note: Glen & Jayne are based in India, where extreme levels of persecution can occur. As such, specific details of their activities cannot be shared here.

Glen & Jayne have been serving in India for ten years and often describe themselves as business missionaries. This means they seek to use the marketplace as a platform to create meaningful touchpoints with individuals and communities through their business activities.

They are developing business interests across India, Italy, and Australia, specialising in the manufacturing and trading of fruit and tomato products, which are transformed into value-added products for local and international retail, foodservice, and industrial food markets.

They carry a big vision and believe they are called to generate resources that can not only be reinvested into their businesses but also be used for a range of other faith-based projects in South Asia and beyond. Their business ventures provide a sustainable operational base, support their livelihood, and create credibility and opportunities to build relationships and share the message of Jesus.

Glen maintains strong connections within global Business as Mission, Faith-Driven Entrepreneur and the Faith & Work network. He is passionate about encouraging and supporting others working within the agribusiness and agrifood sectors across the globe.

Glen & Jayne also love sharing their experience and expertise with Kingdom-minded people who seek to integrate their marketplace calling with their commitment to serving and loving God’s people.

E F I C O R

Bringing maternal healthcare to India’s most vulnerable villages.

EFICOR works towards a just, responsible and compassionate society in India.

The Unnati Maternal and Child Health project has been operating in 149 remote villages in Odisha’s Balangir district since 2017.

Through the partnership of Discovery Church over many years, we have been able to directly impact over 15,000 people and around 5,500 families who experience abject poverty. This project has seen an incredible result seeing the most vulnerable mothers & babies receive the maternal and child healthcare that they so desperately need.

Although we have already done great work, we are looking to continue the amazing work with EFICOR to another 100 villages that are needing this support. The estimated cost of this project is $60,000.

Why Give?

Abject poverty, corruption of services, the low status of women in society all lead to the need for this project.

FAQs

WHAT IS VISION OFFERING?

Vision Offering is a once a year, over and above, offering that goes to support our local and global mission partners and our church facility, to help people find themselves in Jesus’ story. This June, we are inviting you to hear from our partners, to hear from God, and to give as you are led and financially able so that together we can see the Kingdom of God advance.

WHY ARE OUR LEADERS CALLING US TO THIS?

We believe Vision Offering is a very tangible expression and outworking of our overall vision to see “every heart found in Jesus’ story”. Vision Offering allows us to further release ministry and mission via our Vision Offering partners to this end.

I’M ONLY NEW TO DISCOVERY CHURCH, SHOULD I BE GIVING TO THIS OFFERING?

We encourage everyone to hear from God and give obediently in response to Him. If you are in a position where you have a conviction about your place here at Discovery Church, engage at the level the Lord directs you.

CAN THIS REPLACE MY TITHE?

Vision Offering is intended to be an avenue of giving over and above your tithe as it is a different form of giving that is for a different purpose. There is no compulsion for you to give, so if you cannot exceed your tithe at this time, please feel released from giving to this special offering.

IS MY OFFERING TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

You will have the option to select tax-deductible giving if you wish. In order to issue you with a tax receipt for your tax return, we will need extra details such as your physical address and email address so please make sure you provide all of the details requested.

WHAT DOES TRUSTING GOD IN FAITH LOOK LIKE?

Trusting God in faith is always a stretch. It creates tension without breaking our spirits. It believes that no matter what, God will provide because that’s who He is. Maturity is always on the other side of trust, especially in the context of giving. The heart of our leaders is that Vision Offering is a time gathering together with a spirit of joy and celebration, knowing that our individual commitments can add up to significant achievements. On the other side of our faith and generosity many lives will be impacted here in our church and in our local and global community.

HOW DO I HEAR FROM GOD TO PARTICIPATE?

The best way to engage in anything in church life is to move forward based on the conviction God has given you to be involved. The best thing you can do for yourself and the church is to take some time to simply and humbly ask God how He wants you to be involved. Listen to His answer and step out in faith. That is the place where we all learn to trust God. The Holy Spirit speaks in words, pictures and impressions. He will always point to Jesus. He will always promote maturity. He will never contradict Scripture and He will never violate community. Ask God to speak to you and use this framework to help discern what you are sensing.
